First of the episodes, called ’We talk about future food’’’, has had as hosts to Carlos Rios, expert in nutrition and creator of the RealFooding movement, and Mercedes Martin, presenter of Antena 3 News and licensed in Oceanography and Environment. ‘Will we take a healthy diet? Can it be, at the same time, a sustainable diet? What differences between both concepts?’ It's just a few of the questions that clear up, in a little over half an hour, of pleasant talk.

Healthy and sustainable diet
Throughout the episode, and with the aim of avoiding “an ecological disaster”, it is also pointed out how to incorporate into the healthy diet a sustainable motivation, i.e. a diet that thinks of all the processes for which a food has passed before being eaten. That is, what experts call a conscious diet, which not only takes into account what is healthy for a person, but also for the environment.

The Three Keys of Future Food: What, How and Where
It also addresses a change in the food paradigm needed to achieve sustainable food. This evolution should ensure what will be eaten, but also how and where it will be done. The incorporation of terms like: consciousness, balance or quality will also be determining in the future, as in 2050 we are expected to be two billion more people.

STOP to the diet of the whim or “here and now”
Mercedes Martin points to the risks of continuing with such harmful habits: “One thing is to give you a punctual whim, and another, to habituate that ultra-processed diet, the whim diet, here and now.” In addition, on the need to end high-impact diets, the expert proposes a basket of conscious and local purchase, which is betting for the fresh and near product.

Aquaculture fish, sustainable alternative
The aquaculture fish is an excellent choice for future food. It is a diverse, healthy, tasty, and accessible fish that Spanish aquaculture offers daily. In this line, Carlos Rios also sheds light on the recommended dose of fish to have a healthy diet.
