Acne! Ugh! The name itself disgusts me. I woke up with acne problems on the day of prom. How can I not hate acne? Acne is never good; the constant breakouts can make the life of anyone who loves their image, hell. Yes, hygiene and healthy diet is the key to a blemish-free skin but there are a few ingredients right at home that can help you clear up the acne mess.

Acne Treatment At Home

Oatmeal Paste To Clear Acne

Make a facial mask with some oatmeal. This will help control the acne breakouts by reducing sebum secretion and unclogging the oil-clogged skin pores. Make a paste using oatmeal and water. You can use rose water instead of normal water.

Apply this all over the acne and let it dry. It takes about half an hour for the paste to dry up. Once it dries up, wash off thoroughly using cold water and then pat dry. Do this twice every day and in a week or two you’ll definitely notice a difference.

Salt Scrub

The common salt or the table salt is a handy weapon against acne. The salt kills the acne-causing bacteria and cleanses the skin. Mix some salt and water. Make sure that the ratio of salt and water is about 3:1, such that you get a moist salt paste and not a salty liquid. Wash your face with warm water to open up the pores. Using this salt scrub, rub the scrub on the acne.

Move your fingers in circular motions and leaves for 2 minutes. Using the warm water wash off thoroughly and then splash some cold water to close the pores. Pat dry with a towel and then apply some moisturizer.

Lemon And Egg Mask

This mask helps removes acne, tightens the skin and brightens it too. Take an egg white and add the juice of half a lemon to it. Mix well and apply it on the acne.

Let it remain for 2-3 hours. For best results you can do this before going to bed and let it remain overnight. Wash off with tepid water in the morning.
