‘How much caffeine is there really in my coffee?’ After the success achieved in Germany, Arne Preuss just published this article on the caffeine lab in Spanish. Arne is a renowned German barista who writes the most important blog in the German country about reviews, tips and comparisons of coffee and coffee makers

In collaboration with the experts of the Flying Roasters coffee toaster company and with the scientific support of the Institute for the Quality of the Product (Institut für Produktqualität in German, abbreviated as ifp), both located in Berlin, Arne Preuss has determined the true caffeine content of 15 coffee drinks prepared with 15 different methods.

Arne has been a coffee lover for more than ten years, and he conveys his passion for quality coffee, for which he struggles day after day.

On the internet there were only vague guidelines and very little concrete tests on the exact amount of caffeine that has a filtered coffee, an express or a ristrettoand perform a test like this seemed very necessary.

The Coffeeness team has spent a whole day preparing the same grain coffee in 15 different ways (from the classic hand filtered coffee to the cold brew with different times of infusion). On the results of the test, Arne manifests: Qué tipos de ostras existen

“The ristretto is the one that brings the biggest caffeine chute, but if we take into account the coffee portion, the cold brew take the first place.”

The most important parameters for the final caffeine content in the cup are time and volume. The temperature, pressure and amount of coffee are more insignificant than one might think.

All information on test design, preparation methods, extraction ratio and certified test results are available in the following link: https://www.coffeeness.de/es/cuanta-cafeina-has-a-cafe/

What is Coffeness and who's behind?
Coffeeness is a complete blog about exquisite coffee palates where the reader will only find reviews and real product tests. Arne Preuss began to share his passion for good coffee on this page in 2008. Until now, Coffeeness was only available in German, but thanks to the popularity and good welcome it has had in its home country, it is now also possible to read Coffeeness in Spanish. Arne himself buys all the products that he reviews and is characterized by offering product tests with total independence from the manufacturers. And so he moves him to Coffeeness. What started being a little blog about how to make coffee with the French press has ended up becoming the most important German website on coffee.
