Studies have discovered that a lack of vitamin C can lead to problems such as fatigue, hypertension, inflammation of joints and even heart disease in the later stages of life. Since it has also proven to be a wonderful anti-oxidant, the importance of vitamin C is even more in the current age where people suffer from a number of diseases that are directly concerned with effects of oxidizing agents.

Vitamin C is very important for our health. It is found in most fruits, with citrus fruits such as lemons, oranges and papayas having an especially rich concentration. It is also found in cabbages, cauliflowers and broccoli. Additionally, one can even take vitamin C supplements in their diet as well.
