From now on the impact of the Gasol Foundation –entity founded by the brothers Pau and Marc Gasol dedicated to the fight against child obesity – and the Foundation United Way – non-profit entity that leads, designs and coordinates social projects that involve all members of a community to improve the lives of vulnerable groups – will be greater, thus improving the health of children and families at risk of social exclusion, promoting sustainable long-term changes.
The alliance between the two organizations will effectively lead resources to the activities and programs of promoting healthy living habits of the Gasol Foundation, which is a step forward for United Way in Spain in its mission of assistance to the collectives in a disadvantaged situation in the field of health.
The collaboration between the Gasol Foundation and United Way has already paid its first fruits: the program is being implemented SAFALÍN (Health – Family – Children) at the C.A.J.E. Collective. –Collective of Action for the Game and Education of Alcalá de Henares (Madrid) – where 26 children and their families (20 adults) participate in workshops to promote healthy habits.
