Grefusa, in his commitment to society and as a specialized manufacturer of snacks and nuts, has reached an agreement with the Spanish Red Cross for the donation of products to Valencian families at risk of social exclusion
Both entities are working to help alleviate, as much as possible, the consequences of this unprecedented situation generated by COVID – 19. With this action solidarity will be donated more than 150,000 units of snacks, nuts and sunflower seeds, among other products, a more than 3,800 families residing in Valencia capital and other populations of the Province.
Grefusa, based in Alzira, wants to help in this way, and in an urgent way, the population that can be most protected and with greater needs in the fight against the virus. That's why since yesterday, the company, joins the Red Cross Response Plan of the Spanish Red Cross, through a first donation in Alzira.
The Red Cross Plan responds to the organization's response to the most vulnerable in the face of the new context of social and health crises generated by COVID-19. The objective of the Plan is to serve 1,350,000 people in two months, with the mobilization of volunteerism, and the support of public and private entities. During the first 15 days of the operation, in the province of Valencia the organization has exceeded 27,000 interventions.
Since the beginning of the crisis, Grefusa, as a food company and following the strict safety measures and protocol for prevention and hygiene, has continued to work to ensure that all its products reach the different points of sale at the national level. Now, they also commit to the cause and will devote their efforts to bring part of their products to the most vulnerable groups.
The company currently studies the to extend collaboration to other provinces and in parallel, ha also delivered 70kg of product to the Hospital de La Ribera in Alzira with the aim of supporting health personnel and giving them all their thanks to the difficult situation they are living these days.
