A long, healthy and wonderful life is what most of us dream about. Living a long life is indeed very satisfying and peaceful.

However, it is equally important to make it disease free! Life expectancy, in most countries, has today risen from an average of 60 to a whooping level of 85.

This is undoubtedly a welcome development considering the spread of technology and the growth of awareness. Nonetheless, there exists a perfect way to live longer, which is natural in its origin, core and extent! If you too wish to live long, here is what you should do.

  • Check your health status. Visit your doctor frequently and have a general health screening done. This will inform you in case you begin to contract any disease. Always remember, that a disease detected early can be treated well!
  • Adopt an active lifestyle. Most of the times we tend to face ill health owing to a sedentary lifestyle. Quit sitting for long hours! Indulge in simple activities like, taking the stairs, walking to the supermarket, bending often and cleaning your room. This will keep you up, running and fit.
  • Avoid any form of carcinogens. These are basically the carriers of the deadly cancer which come through sun’s UV rays, tobacco and alcohol. Use sun block products and avoid the consumption of the former two in excessive amounts.
  • Sleep well! A good night’s sleep helps you keep fresh and be at peace with your surroundings. So, take adequate sleep. Even in the busiest of days, induce at least a half hour nap in your schedule.
  • Drink a lot of water. This liquid, literally has miraculous qualities. It rejuvenates your entire system and gives your blood circulation a new boost. If possible, drink water early in the morning to cleanse your stomach and keep it afresh.
  • Diet and exercise is the age old formula for living longer. Eating a fresh and healthy diet (without and junk or canned food) would automatically give your body the strength to endure. Coupled with exercise, your power of immunity would simply become unbeatable!
  • Apart from these, stress reduction also works as a great expectancy enhancer. Simply put, if you wish to lead a long life, learn to follow the tips mentioned above and remain healthy. This is the only way to see some more of this beautiful life!
