After London and Rio, Lili and Elsa are facing their third Olympics with their seventh medal in a world competition. On their way to Tokyo, Herbalife Nutrition, their sponsor, provides their support with their sports nutrition and nutrition products
58 months, 259 weeks and 1813 days have had to go back to one of the most important sports events worldwide: the Olympic Games. A year after the scheduled, this appointment is again marked on the calendar of any elite athlete, also for Liliana Fernández and Elsa Baquerizo. The Spanish couple of beach volleyball arrives in Tokyo in an unbeatable state and with their aspirations to reach medal posts, but the way here has not been easy.
Physical and mental preparation to reach 100% of these games, which will take place from July 23 to August 8, has been a constant in the life of Lili and Elsa since the end of the last edition in Rio. During these five years, the players sponsored by Herbalife Nutrition have maximized their potential in every training and preparatory competition to be able to face this challenge that undoubtedly marks the sporting races of all those who dispute it.
The classification for the Tokyo Olympic Games of Lili and Elsa has not been exempt from effort and sacrifice. In September 2019, during the preolympic tournament organized by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), the Spanish couple got the direct pass after surpassing in the final round, at the tender break, the Germans Ittlinger and Laboureur. Despite having secured their participation in the Olympics this year, both have not abandoned their commitment to improve every day and follow their path until they rise as one of the best couples of this sporting discipline; and a few months after the start of their Japanese career, Cancun, Gstaad (Switzerland), Ostrava (Czech Republic) and Sochi (Russia) have been able to witness the potential of the first female team from volleyball to Spain. Also Madrid, one of its last stops before embarking on their trip to the Olympic village, where they disputed and won the Madison Beach volley Tour Madrid International Open.

Since they began their sporting careers in 2006, Lili and Elsa have had the support of their families and followers, who have taken them in volandas towards all their victories, and have been at their side in the toughest moments. Fifteen years later, their results endorse them as the best Spanish female couple of this sport: 3 Olympic Games, 7 medals in world competitions, 7 medals in European competitions and 6 Spanish championships.
