This weekend, on the occasion of the International Day of Vegetarianism, 1,200 vegan meals will be distributed in the capital to three social eaters: the San Ramon Nonato parish and the Servant Eater of Jesus of Charity in Vallecas, and Santa Pontificia and Real Hermandad in Malasaña.
“The social and health crisis that we are experiencing forces us to reflect on our consumption model and what has led us to this point,” says Paula González, director of MDV in Spain. “We explore natural resources and other animals in an atrocious and unprecedented way in our history, generating more inequity in the world and the perfect breeding stock so that new diseases can arise without giving us time to react against them.”
In Madrid, more than 133,000 residents receive food aid, according to the city council and data from the Regional Federation of Neighborhood Associations in Madrid. In collaboration with the Food Bank, 14 vegan restaurants will cook full and balanced menus for 1,200 people this weekend. Trabajar en Alemania

Vegetable Wraps, quinoa bowls and vegetables, legume burgers, soy stews with vegetables, pumpkin creams, risottos with boletus, lasagna with vegetable boloñesa or integral spaghettis with lentil meatballs are some of the dishes that will be prepared for this weekend.
About Million Dollar Vegan
MDV is an international organization that was born in order to raise awareness of how animal exploitation and consumption cause zoonotic diseases and resistance to antibiotics, which constitutes a global risk for the planet and which affects the environment, the animals themselves, and human health.
The new campaign is supported by international projection experts in the field of science and medicine such as Dr. Michael Greger, Dr. Neal Barnard or Dr. Aysha Akhtar.
They are also challenging the population on their website to give veganism a chance for 31 days, providing free information to people who need it. The kit on veganism has menu options, recipes, tips for making the purchase and does not face the costs, health information and recommendations on books, podcasts and films to learn more about this culture that is becoming more and more people around the world.
