The contest is part of the activities carried out in the campaign of support for the cattle ranchers and Spanish companies of foie gras and derivatives of the duck

After two weeks of participation, the Interprofessional Association of Grass Palmies (Interpalm) put an end on May 4 to the recipe contest #FoieGrasEspañol through your Instagram profile @alldelfoiegras.

 

This initiative has been part of the inter-professional campaign launched to promote consumption of #FoieGrasEspañol and products derived from the national duck, as well as to support, at this difficult time, the important work carried out by the Spanish farmers and companies that produce them.

The winner, @carlessvicens_cuiner, will be gifted with foie gras products and derivatives of the duck produced in Spain worth 250 euros, with which you will be able to continue discovering the #FoieGrasEspañol At home. Thanks to its recipe, made with pato magret, pumpkin puré, sweet wine chalota sauce, onion to the flame, apple spheres impregnated with yuzu and saffron crispy, the winner has obtained that the jury, formed by the Board of Directors of Interpalm and the gastronomic journalists Angel Marquis and Miguel Angel Almodóvar, evaluate with the highest original score, Muestras gratis y regalos

Enrique de Prado, president of Interpalm, wanted to thank all the contestants for their participation and commented that “Spain has raised more than a million ducks and produced more than 600 tons of foie gras in 2019which has allowed the consumer to know, treat and taste this delicacy.”

The #FoieGrasEspañol and products derived from the national duck are highly appreciated both in the national and international market, as they demonstrate 4.4 million euros obtained in exports, that have turned Spain into the fourth European producer of foie gras, behind France, Bulgaria and Hungary, and the second consumer worldwide.
