Minerals are yet other important constituents of food. Sodium, potassium, calcium, iodine, iron, etc. are some of the minerals required by our body. It is very necessary to keep the sodium – potassium level under control. High sodium level can cause high blood pressure. Calcium, necessary for strong muscles and bones, can be obtained from milk and other dairy products. 20mg of iron is required for the daily synthesis of red blood cells.

According to the view of nutritionists, two liters of purified water is essential for good health. Water is necessary to keep our body well hydrated and also to remove toxins from our body.
