Painting plays an important in making the house attractive. However painting of the ceiling is something very different and in order to get the best finish, the ceiling should be cleaned properly.

Painting the ceiling is a task that has moderate difficulty but is a feting job that changes the entire look of the interior.
Instructions
Remove all the curtains, fixtures and keep all the furniture at the middle of the room and cover them with a sheet. It is also ideal to cover the floor to avoid the paint splashes. Wash the ceiling with a suitable detergent or cleansing agent to remove the debris and dust.
Check whether there are any holes, cracks etc on the ceiling and all these cracks should be filled with suitable fillers which are available in the hardware shops. Once the filling gets dried up, smooth the area with a sand paper.
Use a small paint brush to mark the boundary of the ceiling. For this dip the paint brush in the paint container halfway and wipe the tip of the brush on the edge of the container to avoid overloading the brush with paint. Then start from a corner and paint the boundary line of the ceiling by holding the brush parallel to the ceiling. Take extra care while doing the corners to get the right boundary. Then provide a second coat to even out the area and also cover the areas around light fittings with the brush.
Thereafter use a large brush or roller to cover the rest of the area. If it’s a brush then do smooth parallel strokes. If it’s a roller then fill the roller tray halfway and dip the roller in the paint and in order to distribute the pain uniformly over the roller, move the roller back and forth. Start from a corner and try to coat a meter square area first as it help to keep the wet edges fresh to continue the painting evenly. This also helps to maintain the extension handle of the roller to a minimum which in turn helps to control the weight of the roller and provides a good finishing to the ceiling.
Once the entire surface is covered then allow them to dry completely and thereafter provide a second coat which helps to even out the entire ceiling.
