Cellulite is a skin infection. In this infection there is damage done to the skin tissues and the skin itself. This condition is characterized by the skin becoming red, inflammation leading to the skin hardening and becoming painful. There are several factors that lead to this condition. Some of the most common causes are broken skin and insect bites. This bacterial infection is very contagious and is dangerous in children as it spreads rapidly. You need to boost your immunity in order to treat this condition. This can be done by getting plenty of rest and eating nutritious food.

You must see a doctor in order to see if the condition needs anti biotic treatments; you may need to take a few to reduce the pain. Normally the condition takes 7 to 10 days to cure so you may want to take a few antibiotics to cure the condition and ease the discomfort it causes.

Wash the area with warm water and an antibacterial soap 3 to 4 times a day. Wipe the area dry and do not let there be any water deposits on your skin as water will spread the bacteria.
