The international NGO that challenged Pope Francis and Donald Trump to change their food to combat climate change meets its goal of delivering a million meals in vulnerable environments by the year 2022. Through the initiative #QuitemosLasPandemiasDelMenú, since 2020 has served a million vegan meals in more than 100 cities in 24 countries to raise awareness of the impact of food in the world

The International NGO Million Dollar Vegan, known for publicly challenging Pope Francis and Donald Trump to be vegans for a month in exchange for a million dollars for the charitable cause they chose, has just reached the million donated meals all over the world.

After the outbreak of the covid-19, in 2020 this organization driven by Matthew Glover (founder of the Veganuary NGO, the Vegan Fried Chick*n brand and the Veg Capital venture capital fund) adapted its strategy to provide vegan food to essential workers and vulnerable communities in the 24 countries where it operates, with the mission to deliver at least a million meals for the year 2022.

This work is part of the initiative # Let's get the Menu epidemics, whose focus is to raise awareness of how change in food, reducing animal consumption, can be beneficial globally, with impact on health but also on the sustainability of the planet. Películas en excelente calidad Full HD

In these two years, Million Dollar Vegan has collaborated with volunteers, small vegan companies and local NGOs in more than 100 cities to share food of vegetable origin with the communities most affected by the pandemic. In addition to food aid, it has also provided protection and hygiene material and has done intensive outreach work on how to prepare nutritious and affordable meals based on food of plant origin.

In Spain, meals have been distributed in Valencia, Toledo, Rivas Vaciamadrid, Malaga and those affected by the volcano of La Palma, in the Canary Islands. Also to health personnel, to various social eaters, in several neighborhoods of the capital, to students and people in situations of economic vulnerability.

“Our health It's connected to the one planet of others animals. We've seen that when we hurt one, we hurt everyone. Their breeding for human consumption has consequences as serious as resistance to antibiotics or the emission of most greenhouse gases, not to say that it is related to the main causes of death in the world, including heart disease or type 2 diabetes. One vegan feeding addresses these problems and goes beyond, helping us create a more sustainable future for all,” he explains. Naomi Hallumresponsible for Million Dollar Vegan.
